Everybody is different and has different care needs and requirements, but we feel it's important to assure all of our customers that you and your family members are in control of your care. We keep things simple and transparent and focus on the need of the care we provide. You can change your care plan to suit your own care needs at any time.

We understand the importance in building good relationships and finding the right carer to meet all your support needs; that's why we work to match you with your carer according to what you require from them, such as a male or female carer, experience, characteristics, a driver, a pet lover and more. We can arrange a meet and greet with your chosen carer before the care package begins, to make sure both you and carer are comfortable and allow a relationship to develop.

Super Healthcare works with adults of any age and status by providing a fully managed Live-in Care Service. A flexible service with tailored care plans that you control

Your live-in carer works with you to support all your care needs, outlined in your tailor-made care plan, created by a member of the live-in care team together with you and a loved one who is familiar with your needs and routines. This allows the care to be on your terms and current preferences, such as meal times, diet choices, hobbies, medication needs and personal care routines. Your care plan will be regularly reviewed, so as your needs change, the care will evolve with you.

The costs of live-in care — care home fees vs private care fees

£29,250average per year for a care home
£39,300average per year if nursing is required

Residential care can cost an average of £29,250 per year for a care home, or £39,300 per year if nursing is required. This means that live-in care fees can be particularly cost-effective for couples, allowing them to stay at home together and pay once for a live-in carer instead of twice for two residential places.

How much your care fees are depends upon the level of care that is needed. If you require a complex care package that needs your carer to have certain skills, then the cost of your care will be higher than what you would pay for a carer that is required for a few simple tasks around your home. Live-in care does not have a price ticket attached but is a very affordable alternative to moving to a care home. Contact us for a personalised breakdown of our fees — there is a variety of ways available to fund live-in care including direct payments, NHS continuing healthcare, equity release and various government benefits.

More information about funding

Financial means and care needs will be assessed to see whether you are entitled to any local authority funding. If the council decides you or your loved one is eligible for assistance, you are entitled to choose between council provided care or direct payments. Council care can be a simple and straightforward option; however direct payment of a ‘personal budget’ allows the individual greater control and flexibility. If you or someone you care for get help from social services you can apply for direct payments.

Where to apply

You will need to apply directly to your local council in order to set up a claim. Below are links to information to get you started. These links will open a new page and direct you to the Gov website.

The service from the whole team was excellent and professional. Special thanks to the last who stayed overnight at our home for 5 nights and was there to support my daughter and me in my husband's final hours.
